New Mexico College Enrollment Continues To Rise
College enrollment in New Mexico has grown for the second consecutive year, with a 4.2% increase this spring compared to the same time in 2024. More than 5,000 additional students are now pursuing degrees and certificates across the state’s higher education institutions. This ongoing trend is attributed to New Mexico’s tuition-free college programs, such as the Opportunity and Lottery scholarships, which support recent high school graduates and returning adult learners by covering full tuition and course-specific fees at public colleges and universities throughout New Mexico.

Once a year, starting in 2008, Rio Grande cutthroat trout fingerlings (young fish about the length of a finger) embark on an expedition, trekking all the way down to the Rio Grande Gorge. I know what you’re thinking – no, they didn’t grow a pair of legs. Instead, they received a little help from their friends: New Mexicans who passionately believe in conservation.

Santa Fe Community College To Host Broadband Networking/Job Fair from 3 to 5 p.m. on May 16th!
Santa Fe Community College will host a Broadband Networking/Job Fair from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the Santa Fe Higher Education Center, 1950 Siringo Road. More than 300 certified Fiber Optic Technician graduates will be invited from across New Mexico to attend. The event is free and open to all New Mexicans interested about careers, education and training for New Mexico’s broadband industry.
